Order management

When a shopper checks out, an order is created. At this stage, the order is given the payment status of Un-paid. Once you have received payment for an order, you should change the payment status to Paid. If you have stock control status set to yes, the stock levels for the products in the order are deducted from the product quantities.

Email notifications

When the email notification status is set to yes, you will be given the option to send the customer an email when you change the status of their order. You can edit this email and use the available variables, by simple wrapping the variable name with a # sign.
For example, if you include #orderdate# in your email message, #orderdate# will be replaced with the order date.

Printable invoice

Shop Maker comes with a printable invoice facilty. Once you have located an order in the order management area, you can choose to print the invoice.

You can change the printable invoice by clicking on the Invoice design button. You can alter the invoice logo, invoice title, invoice text and extra content.

The extra content box can be used for information like special offers, sales or any message you would like to include on the invoice. This can be a good marketing tool for communicating with existing customers.

The default width of this printable invoice is set to 600px. It is probably worth doing as some testing and tweaking of this width as different browsers have different margins and print widths.
